The toggle works for them as well to restore the printer list. Now as a sidebar, I've seen this issue before from many of my regular WiFi-only iPad 2 devices. Could it be that the iPad was connected using 3G and no printers are broadcast via that? Then when I toggle airplane mode, the WiFi magically takes over from the 3G and sees the printers? I added the IP connectivity since the user has both a 3G and WiFi connection. I never touch my Fingerprint software installation. My gut reaction is that it will not be FingerPrint since the airplane mode toggle restores the connectivity. My ultimate goal is to determine if this is an IP connectivity, iOS, or FingerPrint issue. Like all great workarounds, I discovered it by accident. Turning the WiFi off and on on the iPad, usually through airplane mode, restores the printer list every time. I am using FingerPrint (now Presto from https:/ / on my Windows 2008 SBS server as my software-based AirPrint server. I have an iPad 2 3G/WiFi in my environment which regularly loses its printer list. This will hopefully educate me and determine the root cause of my issue. I have more of a general process question for anyone who knows how iOS printing occurs.
